    Default I wonder...

...why so many companies bother to produce really ****ed-up games that basically suck in every point? They know that those games fail by the time they get released and they don't even have a half decent population.
Lets take games like Phoenix Dynasty Online or so...now please tell me why on earth anyone would play that game rather than an other one. There is no reason. Sure, some play those games for like a few hours...just to waste some time. But why would I spend my money for that game's item mall?
Let's assume every player thinks like that...or at least the majority(obvious)...how do those companies financed themself by those games?
Are a few hundret bucks really worth all the effort, time and money you spent on the games?
    PDO is only an example.

I was wondering also why companies try to make a game which is pretty much exactly like every other.. Maybe you will make some money but eventually you will have to make item mall items godly so the people who buy will be able to own people who dont. And then the people who dont have quit, and then the people who bought item mall items have no one to own either so they quit.

I think games should start being more creative.. I have like 2-3 ideas that would be perfect games.. but dont have enough programming skills yet to make them myself.. Im going to college for game programming though... Best game I made so far is blackjack lol

I played PDO for ~3 months because I had a crappy computer and it was fun when I played because at the time, the community was active and everyone knew everyone.

They do it for the lulz.

Seriously though,Lots of F2P MMOs are generic and are not even worth touching, but financially i guess there is only so much you can put into a game.

Some people like generic grinders and would spend money on Cash shops if it makes them enjoy the game more.

    My thoughts anyway

I actually wondered that myself. I specifically wondered that when I played Knight Online for the first time. I played it, got to level 10, and found a replacement to that game the same day. I guess it's worth it, if they manage to get a couple of devout players. The cost of making the game will quickly be made back if they get the devout players.
