Reputation: 34Prebuilt machines are generally not good for a starting point if you plan on upgrading.
More often than not, it will come with a puny case which can make it difficult for upgrades. Also, I have seen many of the motherboards be tailored to that system, which means there are fewer 'extra' ports and such. Also, they probably will put a power supply in their with exactly what that system needs, so if you plan on upgrading you may not have enough power to do so.
If I were you, planning to upgrade in the future.... custom build. That way you can get a case that will allow for plenty of upgrades, a power supply, etc.
In the end, the custom PC's turn out cheaper. (For example, I have used the same case for like 6+ years through many upgrades)
Reputation: 198there are other sites that offer decent built computers at very reasonable prices. Try www.newegg.com and/or cyberpowerpc.com. not sure if european currency works on those sites, but you can get the general idea from the specs that they offer.
if there is an option for you to change the motherboard and stuff, go for it. Better off investing in a good motherboard now so that you have easier time upgrading parts in the future.
Reputation: 38the obvious option it's building one yourself, dell it's hell of expensive and for that price you can get a much better machine
but if you don't wanna build one, then the first option it's the obvious one
