can you watch it on your PC? if so, just rip it and Re-burn (hard and time consuming)

if you cant or wont do that, then youll have to mod your DVD player (yes i said mod) you have to get a Mod chip, or some DVD players allow you to enter a Code to change the Region Code, read the owners Manuel to see......

and if you threw it away, you may be out of luck

yea just do what syn7h3tic said about doing it on the pc.....it should work and i blieve theres some programs to convert it to ntsc format
