no, if you buy a new cd you have 3 new installations for that cd-key you just got, it's all about the key which allows you to register a new account for spore, every key it's 3 installs and that's it, once that's over you either buy a key in ebay or buy a new cd altogether

It can still be reset, it's just an unneeded hassle.

I'm assuming since you can download the full game from torrents, that little issue has been averted in some way.
I dunno, my computer probably wouldn't handle this game so great, not too sure if I'm gonna get it yet.

edit: Rofl, just look at the most seeded copy of Spore at thepiratebay, you can see what they have to say about the copy protection.

what makes it so funny is that the securom system is the WORST security system to date in terms of hacking and messing up your computer.

Can someone confirm 100% that those security things aren't being used anymore ? Because im thinking of getting the game myself.

just get the crack it gets rid of the security system and still willl enable you to go online and etc.

I dunno man, Starforce was pretty bad.

I had it with TOCA Race Driver 3, (I think that was the name, something around there) and I actually bought TOCA, but a lot of times it wouldn't even recognize that I had the CD in, so I couldn't play. I read about Starforce ruining some drives, and my drive started acting up ever since I installed that game... coincidence?

And most games that I've seen that use Starforce weren't cracked. It might be different now, but they are games I don't care to play so I couldn't be bothered to check.

The nice thing about Starforce though is basically everyone stopped using it after the drive issues and such. Sooooo glad Ubisoft dropped it in time for Heroes of Might and Magic 5; I wasn't going to buy it just because of Starforce, but it was removed at the last minute so I ended up buying it.

Despite the horrible security flaws...just go out and buy. Support development for these kind of games. That's what I'm going to do since I really want to try out the online features.

Lol you already supported it by playing it and spreading the word of the game..you really think if they needed "support" they would be throwing money around? (they bought baskin robbins for 2 billion dollars for instance)

Have you even got to space stage, there's thousands of solar systems with multiple planets in each so it's not short in any way.
