Default EA has released "Command and Conquer Red Alert" to download for free

I recieved an e-mail from GameBoarders.com that said C&C Red Alert was up for a free download! Definitely downloading this

To celebrate the 13th anniversary of the storied Command & Conquer franchise, EA is giving away one of the original games that started it all, Command & Conquer Red Alert, for FREE. Red Alert is one of the best real-time strategy games ever created.
Dark experiments have permanently altered time. Or have they? Now, Soviet tanks crush city after city while Allied cruisers shell bases. Spies lurk, land mines wait, and strange new technologies aid both sides in their struggle for ultimate control.
This is the first part (Soviet Disk). Check below for download link of the second part. Please note: This software contains support for Windows XP/98/Me/95 with installation instructions. This software is not supported by Windows Vista, however there are community driven strategies and tips available for making the software function on Vista which you can find on our various fan-sites

Do you have to put it in a blank CD?

I'm downloading both parts right now, so I don't know yet. I would assume not, though. If you do have to, you could just burn the image to a disk or mount the image and play. Since the files are being released by EA for free, I see this as perfectly legal
