does this game have prepaid cards in stores or do you have to use a credit card?
would i be welcomed into the Onrpg/FFXI community if i got the game?
thanks in advance

Reputation: 131The game does require a credit card to play. Quite annoying, to say the least. But it really seems as though pre-paid cards have phased out for P2P games.
The community, while it has declined marginally, is easily one of the best I've ever seen in a game. They're fairly helpful at lower levels, and if you make it through the Dunes without your subjob, the community as a whole generally accepts you. Of course, there are the occasional elitist assholes. However, there are generally about ten "good" players for each of these assholes.
Something like that, it's called the "Vana'diel Collection 2008".
It requires a credit card, however, I've been told by people that you can use Visa prepaid card, however, I don't actually know. The UK system allows us to buy month long contracts I don't think the US does however.
The onrpg community on the game seems quite welcoming. I can only speak for the sylph server however, I've yet to spend much time on bahamut, but, the onrpgers seem nice.
As for sylph, at the current moment in time, I invite everyone to the linkshell I'm part of, I offer everyone a place in a chatroom I have which has players from that server and generally we help each other with anything.
When the level sync comes into play (Tomorrow) then most of us will probably party together.
the Vana'diel Collection 2008 comes with only expansions right? No where did it say it included the original unlike the 2007 one where it specifically said original included. Just wanted to make sure before i buy the cd's
Oh, ONLY the expansions, no, I don't think they have an edition like that.
However, you have to keep in mind that the original can be bought for about $2 so, if it was to be taken away from a price, then it wouldn't be that much of a price difference...
Well thats ok. My friend is going to give me the 2007 edition one with the original. Now i just gotta buy Wings of the Goddess separately or buy 2008 too.
actually theyre both $20![]()
I have a question.I'm level 8 WAR now, and I'm having a really hard time. I die all the time, it's rare I have enough money for anything I need, and things are just, ick. :S Anything I can do to get me out of the rut?
Reputation: 131Sell any crystal stacks(12) or beast made items(Backplates, gob items, etc...) at the auction house. Make sure you check their price history before hand(Find the item in its catagory, and select "Price History".). Check the AH frequently as well to see if anything has sold. Gil is sent to your Mog House moogle when anything sells.
Might I ask your starting town? If Bastok, hunt easy prey or decent challenge Quadav, as their backplates are usually worth around 1k. In Sand'Oria(Spelling?), you'll find rabbit hides and hare meat often. Those sell for 1k per stack, or the hides can be traded to an NPC for 120gil. Windurst is a bit tricky, as I'm not sure what makes gil there really. I know theres a quest that requires Two Leaf Mandragora Buds, but I'm not sure where it is.
