Default Palin: After the excitement clears

Now that all the initial excitement has calmed down, and we now know more about her, what are the thoughts?

Personally, you vote for her, you are voting against our very freedoms.
This woman has tried to ban books from the library.
She has fired people because they "were not loyal".
She works against proper birth control, advocating abstinence only, which doesn't work (her own family is evidence of that).

In a move toward dictatorship, someone like her would be the next step after Bush.

She is a disgusting ploy to try to get the female voters and the act of picking her as a VP is extremely sexist.

And their attempts to argue her foreign experience is just ridiculous. That "she lives right next to Russia" is even being used as an argument against the lack of foreign experince is appaling and a dissapointment.

Ofcourse, I won't be surprised if she gets in. With our elections already being manipulated, it'll be like the last two elections all over again.

I think she is good, and I will still urge people to vote for McCain.

Don't tell me why you think McCain is bad, (this is to whoever tries to) he imo, is much, much more suitable for president.

The problem Fabian is that we don't know enough about her. The same goes for McCain as well. I have yet to hear within all of their speeches a solid plan as to what to do about the future of OUR country. The democrats, green party, and the liberals (sorry if i left people out) have all come up with at least some sort of plan on how to help the country for hte better in the future. With the republican campaign we basically get 95% smear. Again this is usually how they play it.

As for Palin I know that she supports everything I am against from Abortion to Creationism. Yet she has not come up with anything short of "Don't vote for Democrats".

Overall I would not vote for here even if you Tortured me! (Pun intended ). I will be voting for Obama simply because the party system is rigged and we will be stuck with a democrat or a republic. The support for the other parties is simply not there. So yes It will come down to the lesser of two evils, and I believe that Obama can help the country because I don't think he could make it any worse.

    I love how it went.

Obama and Clinton going for the party leader nomination and Republicans go "ZOMG Affirmative Action ploy!" Then Palin becomes the Republican VP candidate and they go "ZOMG you don't like her your sexist!!!"

How stupid do they think everyone is? The Republican party is rife with hypocrisy.

I'd rather have the running mate Obama has just because he is more experienced than Palin. Palin is the governor of ****ing Alaska for ****s sake. Last time i checked that was on the other side of the country and she is power hungry. I think she fired this Liberian for something about books.

I really wish he had picked Romney as his VP. I would have voted for Romney, not McCain.

You're worried about our freedoms yet you're supporting Obama/Biden?

Even if Palin was a man, she would still be the best bet to get a good hold on the conservative base thus allowing to allow McCain to extend further into the middle without worrying about the "home front."

It's atrocious that so many people are a slave to the two party system...but it is what it is.

I'm not a "conservative" by any means and would rather be voting for someone else....but with that said, I'm not disillusioned when I vote for McCain. I know what I'm getting.

If you vote for Obama, you are unknowingly voting against our freedoms.

If anything Obama is a move toward a socialist like nanny state. If you remember, Biden was even the original architect of the assault weapons ban...which, if you know anything at all about firearms and crime, was a complete joke. At best Obama will be another Jimmy Carter.

I'm sorry but less government in my business, lower taxes, and the right to defend myself and family means more to me than some imaginary Utopian society.

Idealism is awesome...until it overrides your sense of realism .

Once you fully support Off-shore drilling, you're done in my book.

Since both she and McCain support it, they're both biting the dust.

    @Digital_Pheer,

Anarchists = People that support the idea of a world without a formal government with violence.

    In other words, complete disorder.

    It's all clear now.

    Palin is the Anti-Chist. D:

****ing stupid argument. Stop using that ******ed line already.

The reason he picked Biden wasn't just because he could attract more voters; the old fart has years of experience.

If you're going to ride Obama, give a good reason.

Obama has enough experience, certainly more than Palin, who has experience in pure failure after leaving her community in debt.

But hey, if you are happy voting for a party that contains a dangeous, moronic creationist who believes this war is God's will, you're voting for someone no different than Bin Laden.

Troopers eventually investigated 13 issues and found four in which Wooten violated policy or broke the law or both:

Wooten used a Taser on his stepson (who was 10 years old).

    • He illegally shot a moose.

    • He drank beer in his patrol car on one occasion.

He told others his father-in-law would "eat a f'ing lead bullet" if he helped his daughter get an attorney for the divorce.

Beyond the investigation sparked by the family, trooper commanders saw cause to discipline or give written instructions to correct Wooten seven times since he joined the force, according to Grimes' letter to Wooten.

Those incidents included: a reprimand in January 2004 for negligent damage to a state vehicle; a January 2005 instruction after being accused of speeding, unsafe lane changes, following too closely and not using turn signals in his state vehicle; a June 2005 instruction regarding personal cell phone calls; an October 2005 suspension from work after getting a speeding ticket; and a November 2005 memo "to clarify duty hours, tardiness and personal business during duty time."
There's also other "shady" accusations being thrown around, such as the books.

About the God's will thing. She was basically saying that she was hoping that everything is being done to God's will, not that it is. Throwing that around the same as going back to the accusations that Obama is a terrorist.

Experience is a very good argument...when you are talking about who is first in line and will have more authority.

Obama has spent the majority of his time in the senate running for president.

Okay, I can use your logic:

Let's make a close-minded, warmongering, corrupt man our leader.

In a sense, McCain can be compared to Hitler or Mao.

But then again, you could make Obama seem like Karl Marx. I see him as the lesser of the two.

    How?

I don't see him like hitler at all, besides being slightly ugly.

I'm going to cry. Why can't people see the corruptness in Republican's eyes? I rather not side with either party but when I hear Republican I hear corrupt-power-hungry-liar.

Experience means nothing if you **** up America. End of story.

It's apparent that the media, the easily scared, and the liberal bloggers will decide the votes made here.

Either way you slice it, America is ****ed. I'm not sure if the country will be able to fully recover from the damage that Bush's two terms have done.

Besides, this is a high stress position. If McCain is elected, he'll definitely have a heart attack, and then Palin's shrewd ass will be in charge.
