The only thing that I can find regarding this is that SLI does not work properly with Spore.
Some users said that they disabled SLI and all was good again. (some mentioned that creatures created before SLI was disabled were corrupted and still looked like crap, so they just remade them or whatever).
So, with your GX2... can you disable one of the GPU's and then try spore out?
Note: also, just gonna state the obvious, but do you have up to date video card drivers?
