or does anyone else also think it is weird that people complain and ***** so much about buying a game that is B2P or something, yet they spend tons of money in F2P game cash shops?
Kinda ******ed imo.

I gave up on F2P MMO,s
Not to say they "all" suck but the large majority do.
If you want a quality game then your gonna have to cough up some cash or look for some *cough* servers.
Yea, almost all F2P games suck. There are some though that are decent, but usually when they try going P2P they fail.
I switched to B2P or P2P a while back but recently I just haven't been too into games so I came back to F2P games.
Their are a few F2P games i like, don't get me wrong![]()
Yup yup. If there wasn't we wouldn't be here. lol
It just annoys me when games offer huge advantages in cash shops that completely ruin the game community and then they don't understand why their community drops.
Please don't tell me that you haven't seen any games that start as F2P then go to P2P when they think they can make it.
Someone name a good F2P game?
That was a bit random.
Actually that was infact a 'very long' Open beta stage, then they deceded to trash Irose and make narose/euRose, euRose flopped because Gamesrouter were big huge fails. and narose didnt do so well thanks to having both p2p AND cash shop, so eventually they decided f2p was the way to go.
Hmm well I can't think of any off of the top of my head since I haven't been in the F2P area for a long time, but I do recall seeing some do it before.
Some did ok, but usually you hear about them going plop soon after they went P2P and usually ended back up in the F2P area after a while.
Hell, P2P games could freaking go F2P, or even stay P2P, with a cash shop with OP items and make bank just off of that.
*edit*
Oh yea Rose I remember did it. Now it is F2P again and dying.
He did ask you that question, yet you seem to be putting off an answer.
Do you really know any companies that started off F2P, then went P2P?
Wizard101 is an example, they started F2P now went P2P. It's an amazing game nonetheless, and I believe most of the player base is made up of younger kids (13 and younger). Since younger kids don't have a handful of options to come up with money, the subscriptions come out of the parent's pockets. Success? I think so.
Ragnarok went P2P after being F2P for quite sometime. IMO Ragnarok is an amazing game, and it seems like it's doing quite well after the transition.
There truly is no good F2P game. "Good" is an opinionated word, meaning it cannot be held as a fact. One game could be "good" in one person's eyes, and horrible in another's.
F2P games that are "good" in my eyes?
Sword of the New World, RYL1/2, Trickster, Warrock (without hacks), America's Army, Crowns of Power and La Tale to name a few.
To answer the OP's question, some games have a cash shop where it rules the PvP base. You could spend money on cash shop items and be a god at PvP just for the sole reason that you have a lot of money, or you could B2P and P2P and not have the same status as a PvP person. Just an observation.
Gravity successfully switched from F2p to P2P with Ragnarok back long ago. Good move too since a great game like that deserves to be p2p.
With the cash shop vs p2p debate. I guess people buy from cash shop cause they want an advantage over others. In p2p, everyone pays so there's no advantage for anyone.
Hmm...I dont think those people are one and the same. But if they are the same, those people just enjoy being on top and enjoy the unfairness of using riches to become overpowered.
