Default The good ol' arcade days.

So recently I've been picking up on playing some old Arcade Games like Marvel Vs capcom, Metal Slug 1-5, King of fighters, 1949, and all that good stuff with "Magical Program powers".

    Any-way,

I was thinking about the time when consoles really weren't every-thing and people would still go out to the arcade to play the specific games that were in the arcade that were so much fun that you'd waste 20 bucks to beat the game.

Now day's since every-thing is so next gen every-ones so.. Satisfied,
And almost all arcade games (Except the ones with the equipment) are now on consoles.

    Well any-way, Does any-one remember those day's?
I remember Going to the movie theater just for the arcade place ;D

    Good days, indeed.
We still have a Penny Arcade up in the mall up here, and I skip all the newer games to play the good ol' classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles unit.

Dude back when I was 6, We use to have this awesome place called nickle mania where every-game was only a nickle, But now it's like.. 50 cent mania but Still called nickle mania?

The only places I can find the original games now is down at the laundry mats.
Still playing the original virtual fighter ;]

    I loved arcades so much.

It was so much fun to go to the arcade and see like 20 people standing around the Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat just waiting to challenge the winner!

Man... one thing that stands out from memory is about a blind guy that used to go to the arcade I frequented. He was completely blind, and was accompanied by his friend. He would play all those NeoGeo fighting games (like samurai showdown) and stuff. And holy shit, he was amazing. He beat probably 75% of the players that challenged him.

I dunno how he did it but ... DAMN THATS PWNAGE!

You definitely don't get the same experience from a game at home.

Oh boy, spending all of my lunch money at the arcade with my eyes red and sore by the time I'd reach home.

    Good times.

That's what I thought at first. But not at all. He used strategy, special moves, and defense just like he could see it perfectly.

    I watched in awe.

Yeah, you hardly ever get that experience anymore. The fighting game units are all empty around here, most you'll see is some guy playing 1 player story mode or whatever once in a great while.

Not this guy. Seriously, he was amazing. I was insanely good at those games at the time (I pretty much only played fighting games for about 6 years straight lol) and I played him three in a row. I won the first, he won the second, I won the third. Close call against a guy that couldn't see.

at the movies, we usually go in like 30 mins early and play that sniper game, street fighter, lol and even teen age mutant ninja turtles.

Then we started hitting up the Tekken station get a lot of crowds, I miss those days.

Man I could never catch a crowd when playing a game,

The only time I catch crowds at the arcades now is when I'm playing DDR.

There used to be an arcade in the mall called "Aladdin's Castle" and it had damn near every game you could think of, including one that actually shocked you just for shits and giggles.

The Simpsons one was awesome, I could never beat the Junk Ship level though.

Guile WAS cheap, actually. He especially pissed me off because my friend Kevin always called him Gwilly, erroneously. He was honestly the person that came closest to beating me, because he mastered Guile (Precisely why he didn't bother me much, I was used to fighting him), and everytime he did any move, he'd actually say the move.

Games developers need to realise that dream sequences in games are ****ing horrible, usually.

I might be biased, because I just think back to the bloodlines level in Max Payne; it makes me want to kill my own family.
