    Default Laptop Q

    I'm looking into upgrading from this ancient garbage desktop I'm using right now to this;

    http://www.gateway.com/systems/product/529668123.php

    But mainly, what I want to know, is can I still use my legal copy Windows XP Professional CD that I bought a while back to reformat this laptop?

    I could care less about using Vista or not, but one thing I've hated about Gateway in the past is there need to put all their useless garbage programs on like Norton (ewwwwww) and Microsoft Works and stuff... I just want a clean install and only put stuff on that I plan on using.

    I got my windows xp cd from microsoft at the launch party for it (so basically since official day 1), and have since used it on, i dunno 6 different computers (as I upgraded) without any problems.

    So, it should be no prob for you to put it on the laptop.

    I've got 0 problems with that, I find that very easy to do.
    Now that this is all cleared up, going to order it and see what happens.
