I wasn't hyping the game at all, and still thought that it was terrible after the creature stage.

You don't have to hype it yourself, the entire internet already did it for you. If you browse the internet for anything related to games at all you've probably come across something to do with spore being the next amazing thing considering it's been hyped for 3 years.

I was slightly disappointed aobut spore... The first stages up to creature stage were fine, being in a 3rd person perspective, with a large world to explore, beating up other creatures and eating them... However I was expecting it to be on a grander scale in the tribal and civilisation stages. Those went by way too fast with little more to do than attacking/hugging 3-4 towns or cities. Then the space stage... the way you have to pick up your spices from each colony separately every few minutes, because they produce it so damn fast... And the way that your planets have a disaster or attacking pirates every time you decide to move even slightly away from them... And the endless amount of colonies you can make which will not be of any use unless you go and pick up the produced spices yourself... kinda annoyed me... And compared to all the other stages, the space stage is unproportionally long and on a grand scale... It also kinda pissed me off that I had to go through the tutorial part of space stage every time I made a new race of creatures. Still, I enjoyed it for a while.
