If you can't do that I don't think you should be in an AP honors class. The teacher is there to help make learning the material easier, but you should be able to study and learn it on your own.

Of course if you run into a problem ask your teacher and they should be able to answer any question... otherwise they should not be teachers!
That's not a problem with my AP Biology class, in fact, I've started to read it. But I have no formal notes to write down, nothing to refer back to after I'm done reading. And my note taking skills, I'll admit, aren't the best so they usually end up being disfigured abominations.


And it's not that easy when your class isn't based off of the book. Like my Human Anatomy class, we go solely off of powerpoints that the teacher has created. We rarely use the book at all, normally only for visual representations and information hunting on worksheets.
