QFT. My aunt has a '95 BMW 740iL, she's the original owner and it has over 300k miles now. Like really, it astounds me how smooth the engine still runs. It can even still pass the coin test (you literally take a quarter, set it standing up on top of the engine; preferably the intake system/cover, and it will not roll or fall over). With that being said, the power train will probably even last longer than the body, especially since little interior items and such tend to wear over time (switches, buttons, etc). If I was shopping for a quick and attractive car, durability would be my last concern when looking at the Bavarian automaker, or any other (including VW).
