Did Combat Arms get a lot more item dependant?

I just logged back into combat arms after maybe like 2 months of not playing, and all my items have expired, I'm suddenly finding the game much harder than before. I only have the noob gun right now, and no vest/helmet and such, and I find I die in about 2 shots to the chest from the AUG or the G36, where as I can empty a round into a guy with my noob gun and do barely any damage. Sure, I have gotten worse than before, but it just seems like the guns and the vests make a huge amount of difference now. Is it just me, or did nexon just patch it that way, if so, its pretty lame now.

Nah I am like in the same situation as you.I am pretty good with teh noobgun and the noob gun only. Just try to get better and save enough money to buy a gun for like a week or so.
