Alright this question has been bugging me all day, I'm deciding whether or not to buy FF XI and was wondering if it's one big thing or there's separate EU and US servers?

I'm pretty sure everybody plays on the same servers. I'm not sure about Europe, but I know JP and US servers are the same. The console and pc versions also share the same servers.
Edit: There's also a way to change your graphics to a higher resolution. Normally, the game graphics only run in a certain resolution.
