EVERETT, Mass. -- Witnesses say a police cruiser responding to a 911 call hit a 30-year-old male on a bike Tuesday evening.

According to witnesses, a person was traveling down a hill on his bike, when the Everett police cruiser went through a green light with its lights and sirens on.

The accident happened around 8 p.m. at Glendale and Ferry streets.

The victim was transported to Mass General Hospital. His condition is unknown.

The officer was shaken up and was taken to Whidden Hospital.

The info is kind of wrong. The guy is 19 and his name is Reda. Everyone was talking about it today at the skatepark and they say he's on life support right now. Some kids went to the hospital to go see him but they wouldn't let anyone go in. So everyone thinks he's dead.

I'm not really sad or anything but I feel bad because he's only 19 and he was pretty cool whenever we talked. Hopefully he isn't dead or anything. I just hope he comes out normal.

Because thats what the cops told the reporters. Their guessing his age, but they will probably fix it like tonight or tommorrow.

Ouch, I hope he lives and that theres a huge chance he didn't turn ******ed (no offense), my uncle was once in a crash and there was a huge straight long scar on his neck. Good thing he made it, the scar is noticibly visible.

Sucks for your mildly known chit-chat buddy, but did anyone else laugh at the cop being in the hospital for a pretty useless reason? I wonder who they took to the hospital first, your friend or the cop.
