Age of Conan Sucks...

Yeeup, it pretty much sucks and is definately not worth 49.99 I bought it last night with high hopes and an open mind. Only to be sorely disappointed with the overall look, and feel of the game. First off even on max graphics the game doesn't look so great (not nearly as good as it looks in some trailers) second the battle style is not nearly as awesome as it was made out to be. You basically just hit the 1-2-3 keys somewhat mindlessly and you'll kill the enemy. It's no different than hitting the 1-2-3 keys in any other game where 1,2,3 are shortcuts for skills...

But I must say the biggest thing that turned me off of this game is the fact that the main story quest MUST be played SINGLE player. What kind of MMO forces you to play by yourself?

Perhaps I'm a little late in criticizing this game but I just thought I'd share with other people who were maybe thinking about getting it now that there's been time for them to patch and fix bugs and such. DON'T BUY IT. I exchanged it for WAR today and I'm just waiting for it to patch up now. After I've played that for a bit I'll probally post again and give my thoughts on it.

I really hope WAR doesn't let me down like AoC did!

Warhammer is a good game if you like PvP, as you can at level 1, you will be boosted to a certain level for each RvR scenario or PvP lake. My only problem with the game is the engine is poorly optimized.

I even looked around on the forums for reports on it but couldn't find any...oh well like I said I exchanged it for WAR so hopefully that'l give me my moneys worth....if not...well I'll never buy another MMO again!

the main difference between WAR and AoC it's that WAR it's playable, while AoC it's just a horrible system hogger full of bugs, sure WAR has it's bugs but at least devs take care of it pretty quick with the fast release of patches, AoC bugs have never been taken care off, even now as we speak

Agreed. I'm personally loving my rank 7 Bright Wizard, but the game uses an ungodly amount of memory. Supposedly the memory leaks are being patched soon, Mythic knows about the problem and is working hard on fixing it. The occasional choppiness is fairly annoying, but doesn't really damage the overall experience.

All games were like this at release. No game is perfect at release, WoW was even worse than WAR when it was first released, at least how I remember it. Vanguard was TERRIBLE, but playable. Before I quit Vanguard I could only play on lowest setting and still only get 15-20 fps, gave it a year, came back and now I can play on the step below max with the same fps maybe even a tad bit higher.

And since Mythic no doubt has a bigger budget than SOE, give it a month or two and it'll be awesome :P

If you judge a game by it's forums, then you must've thought that mabinogi and DECO online were going to be the best games ever, by judging these forums.
