WAR Imbalance of Numbers

I'm sure everyone who plays WAR or at least about everyone at this forum knows that the forces of Destruction often Outnumber those of Order. I dont know if this is happens on every server but it sure friggin does on Azazel.

I probaly would've rolled Destruction too just for the better looking characters but I decided to stay with my guild.

Most people are just going destruction for the better characters and basically most people from WoW are going destruction because the Horde usually won the BGs.

I'm fine with that because that's a okay reason.

What friggin makes me pissed is that some people simply went Destruction because they already knew that Order was outnumbered and wanted to win also. Shitty ass reason because it really takes out the fun when we're outnumbered 2-1 on a keep raid. This same thing could apply to alot of games like TF2. You know your a regular on a server you know what people are good and so you decide to teamstack on that team because you dont wana lose.

Got 1 thing to say to people who go destruction after knowing the imbalance of the 2 factions.

And I'm used to being outnumbered on WoW, Alli always seem to outnumber us except on PvP servers. And I play on PvE, so I'm easily outnumbered.

Well i think the problem with the appearences is that new rollers are just looking at the clothes you see when you pick the class to see the description. In all honestly the order starter clothes do look bad

I think their working on the balancing issue by limiting how many destruction or order can join so it evens out the numbers as for me I went destruction because I love DoK and how the class works

It's not the clothes that bother me tbh, because I know those don't last long. If that was the case, I would've never made an undead warlock in WoW, the starter 'dress' is hideous.

It's more just the races themselves. I'm a human in the real world, so I find that boring, and I always found elf-type character to be wusses. Dwarves and Orcs are one in the same to me in a sense; muscled badasses, one is just tall and green and the other is short and stout. Not really a fan of Chaos either, just some sickly, pale people in evil-looking armor.

Humans and Elves are way too much "flower-power" and Dwarfs are just ugly, imo. But that's a matter of opinion, I guess.

I'm aware of that, but tell it the millions of casual gamers, who don't.
I bet 90% have the WoW races in mind, when choosing a race.
WAR Elves,Humans and Dwarfs sure have that 'cool' look, compared to other games, but the bad guys aka. Destruction is a bit more 'evil' looking, though.
And everyone knows that the more evil you look, the cooler you are, lol.

It's just more of a personal thing.
I don't care if other people think I look badass or not. I just want to think my guy looks badass. And I personally don't think humans or elves look badass, so I don't play them.

And besides, the newbies like to gawk at huge pointy, shiny armor.

I dont want to be a human in an MMORPG..If I wanted to be a human in an MMORPG I'd get a stick go outside call it a sword and attack Mailboxes and Dogs saying "45 EXP" "50 EXP"! I'd go destruction anyways regardless of classes/races..Im horde on WoW :P

This would be rather odd reversal. The general trend in WoW, especially in the early stages of the game, was that horde was significantly outnumbered on almost every sever.

Further, I highly doubt the claim that people are playing "evil" just for the looks. Undead looked boned stupid in WoW, but that didn't stop them from being the most played race by far for the horde, and on many servers the most played race on either side. A very good example of this was the warlock. The Orc warlock looks freaking awesome in robes and sutff, for cooler than the undead, yet there was at least a 10 to 1 disparity for more people to play undead warlocks. This disparity was much worse on PvP servers

Unless the female of certain races are especially hot looking, I really doubt merely looks compels someone to chose a race and as a whole looks have very little impact on these choices. Your average payer chooses class for, race second.

Hmm..Well i would normally go destruction since I like their classes alot more..But from reading your post..I would probably go the other way..I always like to join the lesser side cause it means there are more for me to kill =]

Doesn't each race have some boni/special abilities or so? If so, It'd make most sense playing an undead warlock rather than an Orc one. Plus, Warlock fits better to Undeads, now doesn't it? Dunno if it's the same in WAR, tho.

The undead trait ability is to be able to cannabalize and "Will of The Forsaken" Probaly one of the most useful skills ever

Volkmar server is actually almost perfectly balanced at any one time. However their guilds are more trained then Orders, so luckily I have not felt that deep pain.
