Ok, look, Im sure a lot of you love DOTA, but seriously, not everyone wants to play the exact same map over and over like you do ok?
I liked Darkness and Light when it was out, and I'd be glad to see it get released again. The item combinations along with being able to use game winnings to buy special items from the ingame shop did make things quite interesting.

Dota relies mostly on item knowledge rather than actual skill, I don't see a good reason why it should be an esport. OMFG I'm so good, I can control ONE HERO, ya, leave the main game to alone.
Dota is just overrated by the way and there are plenty of other maps in the same AOS genre that makes Dota look very mediocre.

Well the game was definietly good BUT !!
1. There were massive ammount of hacker which made the game suck bad cuz with only one hacker agains you your were bound to loose mostly
2. Dunno if those where hacker as well ( some ppl in the forums saied they were legit ) but if not there are possibilitys to create close to unbeatable chara builds if you get money fast enough you can totaly own the game with

u're probably a hardcore pubber who never ever play in a league or in a tournament. dota doesn't just rely on item knowledge. it also rely on the knowledge of heroes on your team and your opponent. and of course you need to know how to farm effectively, when to gank, when to use your skills ( in what order as well ). and most importantly teamwork and how each heroes on your team works with one another.

battle net doesn't have a lobby ??? have you ever click on "enter chat" when you login into bnet ?? lol.. if you don't like the lobby in bnet then you can try playing dota in Garena.. tons of lobbies there..

oh my goodness.. however we play dota if we can't create our own rooms ??? we can make rooms for simple public matches or for guild vs guild ( inhouse games )
- A dishonor system. Basically Keeps track of leavers/laggers so if you dont them in your game. Just kick them out.
well dota don't have a dishonor system but there are a couple of programs that can track leavers/laggers..
- Before each game starts, there is a character selection screen. Players can chat and talk about stragety for a limited time before the big battle.
uh.. dota doesn't have that ?? we do have time to select our heroes and talk about whatever before the creeps spawns..
it makes me wonder if you ever really play dota.. lol..
and correct me if i'm wrong but i believe DaL is pretty much dead ( both SEA and NA ).
even the official korean site is not working anymore.. i don't think aeriagames can host a dead game.

Dota is pretty boring, same skills same items same tactics over and over. Ive even watched tournaments and they are even more boring. I rather watch starcraft rts tournys, 10x more exciting than dota. Not to forget... same map...

Go through the list again im pretty sure Dota doesnt have a boss from each side beating the shit out of each other end game and Dont forget about the 4 MAPS AND 2 DIFFERENT GAME MODES.
Yea i know there is a lobby for Warcraft 3 obviously but it doesnt have a Lobby just for Dota. Well i know there are channels but not EVERYBODY that plays dota knows about it especially the noobs. The guild feature is already built in the game. About tracking laggers/leavers, yea you have to download all that crap but what im saying is once you download the game, everything you need is in there you dont have to download any extra crap.@lunatik:

Yea im the one that posted a thread about this game a while back, If DAL doesnt return I'll have to buy this game in February.
Hackers? There was only like 2 guys that hacked and they were banned. And dont even start to think that Dota has no hackers. I have a friend that uses map hacks without anybody knowing, dota has hackers.

I used to play this game and I loved it so much. I don't like DOTA but I like this. Not as much heroes though. Used to go by the name Lysinc and was on the top 25 ranking list. I believe Ghost_Unit played it to.

The worst part about DAL closing was that there was a patch that was supposed to be released with more characters, items, item combos and 1 map just right before it closed...

if you don't like the lobby in battle net or playing in bnet for that matter, then try playing dota in Garena ( most people play dota here nowadays )
there are lobbies just for dota players. they also have ping checker and banhammer built-in.
you can also build clan and join any league on Garena and of course you can check your clan's rank.
not too mention you can pretty much play with your friends anywhere on the world without hardcore delay/lag.
anyway.. good luck.. chances of aeriagames hosting it is slim to none since the game doesn't exist anymore. all versions including the official korean are closed.

id stick with dota, since i love playing dota in cafes, any mmorpg cant match the awesomeness of playing with friends on same cafe..

Fun thing about dota is that you can just play a game, and mostly skill matters. No gay stuff with people lvl 10 or 1000 gold etc...
The interface is ugly too. And I doubt it has more characters than dota. Ill still give it a try if it comes back. I havent heard many people being positive about it too...
