I don't care for benchmarks and they don't really help adding anything extra to gameplay or just running many programs. trust me I compared both before and the dual core easily wins ask any smart tech person and they will agree.
also if he changed to an intel then the motherbaord will have to be changed.
I will say again dual core beats quad core for now until they have programs that will utilize all cores.
and you might be right if the cores run at a higher speed, but that cpu is much more expensive and it doesn't vastly improve gameplay at all.
