Default Lots and lots of whores/assholes this generation.

    Dear OnRpg,

Have you else noticed that girls are getting more *****-ful and wangsta these days? Everyone seems to want to gank younger kids for no reason at all.

Just venting rage, how everyone these days are a bad influence to children. treating them bad, pushing them, etc etc, plus, they might not do anything to them, but some people are just ignorant and cuss or do bad stuff in front of them.

    Love, Vincent T. Chan.

P.S. While I was walking into my favorite coffee shop, I wasn't looking and bumped into a little loli while walking in the door. I don't know if I should be ashamed or happy.

Yes, there are some very badly dressed people. I think it's just the parents that are allowing this. My parents beat my ass every time I tried to leave the house with a shirt that wasn't ironed.

My parents would punish me for every little thing.

I think that's the problem today. Parents shouldn't be too strict, but they should still be parents. In my area I see 4th graders smoking, 6th and 7th graders talking about how they "got some," last night. The media and the market have turned this country into a disgusting place.

Well usually when I read asshole in a topic title I think, that people who call others assholes don't really have a point to complain,
    but it might be that it wasn't your fault and that you are just here to vent once or twice, because you need to, not because you are abusively selfish yourself;
I find that a little less anoying and hope you stop that pityful behaviour when I tell you, that no one has a right to put you down.
Adding your part to it by not taking it with character isn't going to make it better.
Standing above this kind of thing might help, try it and practise it.
    Hope this helps, cheers.

Well maybe if you were 30 years older that would be believable but it isn't if you're like 1-5 years older then them...
Oh and for the other stuff... Yeah it's true and as population increases so will that kind of stuff.

He's saying when you call someone an asshole and then continue to criticize their actions and tell them what to do it will invalidate your point. Though, he accepts that you are just venting but recommends that you try not to lose your cool when arguing a point.

Again, this calls for a quote by a great man:

That pretty much describes how I feel about people in general.

I assume everyone has a flaw that will eventually make them no longer worth my time until they prove otherwise. Then, on the rare occasion I decide to consider someone a friend, they actually do what was expected.

    People are letdowns.

meh....this comes as no surprise. Its especially bad in USA....
honestly all those pre-teen girls wearing "Juicy!" shorts and visible tank-tops...wth. They are like screaming me "F*** me!" Ideal attractions for ********s.

not only that, those spoiled kids and whatnot that bad-mouth anyone they don't like. Thinking they are all hotshots and all that. One perfect example? my brother. Wow that kid acts like a gangsta as if there is no tomorrow. Spends 30 minutes doing his hair (yes...30-fkin minutes...and hes a guy!), sprays cologne, packs his cigs, skips classes, steals shit from stores, and does drugs.

no matter how many times we kick him out of the house/beat him/lecture him, etc...he does not change. I have to wonder just what is driving him this way.

I know, I cannot imagine what's making him that way.

On an entirely unrelated and non-sarcasm smothered tangent; I have always said that the best way to treat a loved one who, unfortunately, is travelling down a less than favourable path, is to make them homeless, physically abuse them and tell them what they're doing wrong as opposed to how to start doing things right.

All that noise about being an attentive and loving, yet honest and firm family member/friend bs...psh, that's for pussies.

Alternatively, it's his right to do what he wants to his body. It's anyone's. However, some people get into that, decide it's not for them and can't get out, or worse, they know it's not working out but they're too scared to admit they're wrong. So, in a vain attempt at redemption, they surround themselves with genuine wasters (Irrespective of whether they do drugs or not), to make themselves feel better about the choices they've made, and that's when it gets dangerous.

If you care for your brother, be a brother, don't be an idiot. All it might take is one honest sit-down. It doesn't seem like you're giving off the "We care" vibe. You can be firm, stern and still be caring. Trust me, I know how frustrating it is when you see someone spiral into a mess of oblivion, but if they don't want out, they don't want out. That's their right and their consequences are theirs to bear.

"I remember my grandpa saying that the world would end after hearing the Rolling Stones,"

Gangster, emo, and ***** etc. is the new fashion it may sound weird, or it is already gone.
Still I think most of you grow up in the 90s so,
We use to wear teared apart pants with sneakers and flannel shirts and have long hair and go to grunge concerts etc.
In the eyes of the other generation before us it could be weird, wrong etc.
Still with the media everywhere these days fashion change every time so fast.
I really don't care much about the young kids aslong they aren't on trainstation getting high and drunk.

People, media, fashion etc. change and every kid loves to believe the media.

@Petrus: One must think it is a part of human nature...

Well, Plato wasn't wrong in that fascism wasn't such a good idea either. (Even though that is most likely unintentional.)

    Got to agree with it,
But it does my heart good to see some young people who don't follow the media and wear and act how they want.
I only hate the people who follow it blindly.
    But that's in every generation.

i guess because more people these days have comfortable incomes and a good standard of living they can afford to spend time worrying about things like fashion and social status rather than where the next meal is coming from.

i dont know if there are more "assholes" and "whores" though. really that just depends on where you live and what type of person you are. to the people you might describe as assholes they probably just see each other as normal people and might see you as an ashsole or a weirdo.

one thing though. no way are parents strict these days, at least not in the western world. children and young adults have alot more freedom than they used to. simple things like internet and mobile phones are a good example since they give you more personal freedom. again i guess income has something to do with this, the richer your family the more shit your probably going to buy for your kid. also, since traditional ways of parenting, ie beating up your son/daughter are seen as archaic i think alot of parents dont discipline their kids enough anymore. i think this media age we live in has touched many young minds and maken them a tad too outspoken and outgoing for their own good. i remember being in school and hearing many times "dont ****ing touch me, dont touch me or ill sue you" to a teacher. made me want to bust out the pipe bombs.

some of the most dickheaded assholes ive ever known have had the nicest and most generous parents and come from a really well-off background. but then thats just what ive noticed personally. i dunno, what can you do? its not really worth getting angry at these people since you cant control them. best to just leave them to it. is finding out where they live and shitting through their letterbox really going to solve anything? if they are assholes then they are assholes and thats that.

This thread is gay. Everyone hates the society we live in but no one exactly does anything about it, and for the most part people contribute to the forming of 'whores/assholes'.

Also, OP, as this is your only generation, what generation are you exactly comparing this one to? Most of the time people realize this when they've matured farther than the people around them. I feel this way occassionaly but I still watch my MTV, BET. I still buy products with the 'pretty girl'. I don't report drug activities to my administrators. All of these things contribute to the problem so really, I don't have room to complain.

People are naturally assholes. There's nothing you can do.
