Problem with comp need help!!

Hi onRPG'ers,

I waws wondering if any of you could help me with this problem I got. When I start some games such as Martial Hero's, WoW, GW, etc... Says Im missing a file ddraw.ll witch if from directX. and I reinstalled DirectX like the DirectX Diagnostics sugest but dosnt work, anyone out there have a sugestion on how to fix this error?

Maybe see if you can just download the one file you need?

Try running it in DirectX 8. My example uses Guild Wars. Like this:

1. Go to your desktop icon and right click it.
2. Select Properties.
3. Make sure the shortcut tab is selected.
4. Next to target u will see "C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe"
5. Change that to "C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" -dx8

If that doesn't work ask them for support. The Guild Wars support team works very fast. At least with me they did. I hope this helps.

Thanks that helpped a lil, but when I run DirectX Diagnostics I still get 2 errors and 2 more missing dll files. any ideas?

Yeh I do DirectX 9.0c, I did a system restore and tons of files came up missing ot msot of em back just need the ddraw.dll latest version 2 more dll files and I got 2 display video error's =/ (Could just use my Window XP Serves Pack 2 disc)

1. Try looking for all the dll files that DirectX Diagnostic report missing:

2. Reinstall DirectX using the setup at Microsoft official website:
