It's just a matter of fact. Had the Foo Fighter's been advocates of the Republican party, chances are they wouldn't have gone in to such an uproar. In fact, they might have stated it to be a great honor, just as Cloud said.

And you'd be a fool to believe that McCain actually sits down and makes these videos himself, or chooses the songs for that matter. While it may have been silly/stupid of his PR campaign to have used material without permission, the fact remains that this is just another ploy to get ahead.
