    Default 'W' and George Bush

I was wondering, are any of you interested in watching the movie 'W'?
It is not something that will horribly attack Bush and be a liberal movement but rather show him in his whole. It seems quite interesting as the director explained, the simple fact that at the age of 40 he was a failure and by the age of 55 he had found Christianity and became the most talked about person in the world.
While I do not agree with Bush almost at all, I would love to see this and hopefully see something that can be both political and entertaining.

I'll probably try to go see it.

Mostly because, for as you stated above, it won't be a one sided type thing.

I'm going to see it. I'm interested to see how it approaches him.

I mean, I disagree with him as much as the next guy, but I think the level of dislike has become more of a trend than anything. It's time to see something a little less biased.

I can't hold my own when it comes to politics at all, but I hope it's at least entertaining.

George seems like a pretty nice bloke, I'd go for a drink or two with him down the local pub.

So you must like him quite a bit.

Indeed, people hating on Bush seems to be "the popular thing." However, I think history will look favourably on him.

I doubt I'll see it for two reasons.

    1. It's still out of Hollywood, so I'ma be wary of how biased it is, until I find out how impartial it is.

    2. I haven't been to the movies in forever, I'm pretty sure the last one I saw was Drk Knight.
I'm okay with your second response to why you won't... but I disagree with your first. Yes it is from Hollywood, but this is from the same man who made them about Regen, and Bush Sr. He isn't a normal Hollywood person either. As well your bias towards Hollywood is the same as peoples bias to Bush kinda. I also doubt history will look at him favorably because history will look at him almost singularly as the Iraq War (as most presidents who reside almost all of their term(s) through a war).
I am happy to hear quite a bit of people will see it.
As well there shouldn't be any arguments, this is a topic about a movie that portrays our current president through out his life. The directory even said that he would compare Bush to the likes of John Wayne just by his character and it is probably pretty accurate just don't tell that to a Democrat who love John Wayne (like my step dad LOL)>

    Get a ****ing grip.
The Constitution lets him do that. It's called the suspension of Habeas Corpus.

Guess who else did it? Abraham Lincoln; The Emancipation Proclomation
Who else? Franklin D. Roosevelt; Executive Order 9066

Bush may have been wrong in WHY he did it, but WHAT he did was still justified.

Ontopic: I might go see the movie. It looks entertaining, but at the same time, educational. I'd love some insight into his life.

I personally can't wait until the documentary, "O! The Bama Story" is released. Then again, since America will be mostly socialist, I doubt the production would really get to kick off...

If you thought Bush was a fail, I really can't see how you could view either of the two candidates as a success. I'm a Republican, and even I can see that McCain will not be the best thing for this nation. But you'd be an idiot to think that Obama is.

But, more on topic, I probablly won't be seeing it. I don't see movie as much as I used to, and like Cloud said, I can forsee a large portion of it being nothing but a few free cheapshots at Bush.

Won't be seeing it unless there are action-packed sequences, zombies, guns, humor, and hot chicks.

Or if Christian Bale portrays him in the Batsuit.

that good sir, is what i call undeniable ownage.

Mr. bush has failed in such a way that you don't need a reason to belittle him.

i have been taking history AP for a couple of years and there are only a few other presidents who messed up worse than him.
