Reputation: 677The most petty form of censorship is self-censorship.
At least they now have some reason to get the games name into the news-cycle once again.
I am pretty curios of what kind of customers they try to woo with their "initiative".
I find all this personally unnecessary, sad and I would be ashamed to be a part of such a crowd, so it obviously can't be me.
Funny for that people who are awaiting the release and now a little disappointed;
You also just got insulted as a fundamentalist, that isn't able to deal with hearing a piece of a song from a foreign culture. Just because they know that is the way it is, they are going to make sure they fix it...

Some copies were sold before the release date, I wonder how those are going to work online now (I know it is just a song, but I have no idea if that matters or not).
I don't think they are doing this to 'woo' customers, members of the Muslim community can get fairly outraged at things members of the Christian community wouldn't even care about (Remember that certain drawing?). This seems more like over-the-top ass covering as compared to woo'ing.
It isn't targeted towards people from other cultures hearing the song, it is targeted towards Muslims who could be offended that their song is taken out of context or some such thing.
The delay isn't that bad. Still in the same month.
The words are:
1- In the 18th second: “كل نفس ذائقة الموت” (”kollo nafsin tha’iqatol mawt”, literally: ‘Every soul shall have the taste of death’).
2- Almost immediately after, in the 27th second: “كل من عليها فان” (”kollo man alaiha fan”, literally: ‘All that is on earth will perish’).
