Already tried the microsoft solution. It looks to be a defected IDE controller.

I have the Silicon Image SiI 3112 SATA Raid Controller.

And I need to update it, I suppose.

    That might help.

I'm really really frustrated. All I want to do, is ****ing reformat. GAH!!

Where should I look on it?

On a million different driver scanners and Everest home edition
they all say i have SATARaid or something

The driver-scanners say my ide bus is out of date or something.
    I think its just corrupt

Open the desktop and look at the connector.

The connector says IDE, other than that, there is nothing else printed on it, except for little imprints that tell you where the cables go.

well, by looking at the picture, everything seems to be working just fine.
    (my guesses are)
You have four virtual drives(the DVD drives letters G, H, I, J) and a single CD drive (E)
And from the pick the system has detected the CD in the CD drive, so it appears to be functioning.

You need to give more information than "it's broken".
Also, if it's IDE then the SATA raid does not effect your CD drive at all. The "Silicon Image SiI 3112 SATA Raid Controller" does not touch your CD drive at all if it's IDE.
That only effects SATA connected devices.

But look up the manual for the system/mobo. You will be able to find everything you need there.

It shows the audio cd even if there is nothing in the drive. How can I get rid of these virtual drives? I don't even have any mounting software or anything, I uninstalled them all.

My hard-drives are SATA I suppose then. I don't have the manual, as I said in an earlier post, this computer was given to me.

I was told by Murxidon that I should take out the CMOS chip or something.

I couldn't get it out, so I decided not to touch it. He said I needed to hard reset the chipset.

ok, this is beyond what anyone can help you with without actually have the computer in front of them.
It's all the wrong combinations of too little information, you are not knowledgeable enough, and too many possibilities.
