Default Crafting .. Fun , Since when ?

I started playing ZU and I LOVE IT. Just.. The quests.. And the grind.. And thats it.

What games have a crafting system thats FUN , when I'm bored from grind I need something productive to do .

Or even a sports MMO , where grind is nearly non existant.

Dont sugest mabi , If I wanted a game of that caliber I'd play mabi , I just .. I dont know , I want something difrent ?

I assume that you're not wanting a P2P MMO, are you?

Well, as far as F2P games go, you won't find very good crafting systems.

DOMO has an okay one, you find recipes in blue pots scattered around the game world and farm materials from various locations.

cabal had HORRIBLE crafting, stay away from that crap as fas as possible

I would go with Atlantica for F2P crafting, it's not top-notch might not be fun but it's more developed than the rest of f2p's nowadays

ROHAN too, if it wasn't for the fact that the game it's literally dead

If you want crafting system, and a good one, go for either runescape or ultima.

Runescapes crafting was point click , BAM you have "This" item.

Honestly , thats not what Im looking for , if its llike that I'd at least like a nice looking animation or something afterwords , sorry but runes crafting was boring.

but the crafting doesn't have animations per-se, just the character standing there with the crystals and that's it, so if you are looking for cool animations and characters moving their hands and picking up from veins and stuff you won't find it in FFXI, that's something ryzom has for example

You see the element of the crystal in effect.. Burning (fire crystal) for example
    (but this is just crafting)
you also see a diffrend animation on success and fail.. ect ect

But asside the system is realy in depht.

I'm suprised no one said EverQuest II yet...

Basically, you get the required materials from gathering all sortsa stuff, then you go to the crafting instance and then a workstation.

When you begin the craft, you put the items in the slots and it'll show you the basic end-product (shoes, sleeves, etc.)

As you craft you can use 9 crafting skills (3 anomalies + 3 potentcies, like low med and high) Occasionally you'll run into anomalies and you have to counter it with the proper spell.

For example your sword may need to be doused, so if you douse it it'll be okay, but if you dont you take damage.

You can spam your skills but you need to watch out because each spell directly influences both the Quality and the Durability of your craft.

If the durability gets too low, you fail the craft and lose the materials.

If you can go through the entire process without breaking, you get an item as well as crafting exp.

but if you score high enough quality you get special additions to your item. Prefixes like "master-crafted" or "pristine" or "shoddy".

I think it has the best crafting system to date.

It is P2P with several expansions. http://everquest2.station.sony.com/freeTrial.vm

You have to buy the game and then there's a monthly fee.

If I can buy the major expansions for under 50 $ , this is my new game -.-.

Edit , I mean the expansions for 50 and the game for ike 25 , so It'd run me like 100 when I go to pay for everything.

40$ at best buy.. I wanna cry , this is GOD.

No I used to though. The servers are really populated and the people are friendly. I would join, but I don't have any money right now.

EDIT: I played on Nagafen, you shouldn't have a problem getting into a guild, especially as a hard-core crafter. They are always loved!

Yeah sounds about right, they billed me for $14.95, same as WoW.

i will have to admit everquest 2 crafting was the most interesting to date. The rest of the game was really good too but i think i got into a little late and it was kind of difficult for me as a newbie after the introductory levels.

I ended up with a level 40 mystic, but the world is just so huge and there is so much in it, its hard to navigate alone and know what the best things to do are.

Ok , do they sell cards like WOW does or is it direct pay pal , that may be a problem but nothing I cant overcome.

i think they used to sell them , but now i think they have these station cards i saw at best buy that work for 30 days in any SOE game. So im assuming everyquest 2 would work.
