Default Is the current Voting system legit?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NyvqhdllXgU

Should there be some sort of test that requires you to know something about our Government/Politics before being able to vote?

I am not for/nor either, I did not vote.

The idea sounds pretty undemocratic to me.

    There should be no test.

They could actually try to find a way to fix public education, if there are problems with people being very dumb right now.

    Rather anti-democratic.

The Aristocratic Republic of the US of A.

    Sounds great, doesn't it?

You could even drop public education and go directly back to slavery and solve all problems of the nation at once.
General serfdom would even be better...

Not allowing idiots to vote would be un-democratic. I just hope they make up the minority of the country, but I have been wrong before

So you are saying that black people are the problem or you are being sarcastic in an attempt to prove a point?

He was obviously being sarcastic. I wonder if you have something against black people, actually.

Only problem with that is that's giving someone the power to deny you the right to vote. Other than that it'd be a good idea. Just look at our credit system.

I am saying, that implying, that black people are too "dumb" in nature rather than still economically disadvantaged and need to be guided by the "educated" white, is quite a heavy piece to swallow.

The second choice it is, clearly.

What the video forgets is that black people in the states have an extremely clear view of that part of politics that vitally matters to them, which is fairness, no state-brutality and no paternalism.
See the state touch it and you will also see them stand up and present an adherence the democratic ideals to the fullest.

    Well, I would say, the reason was, because it was simpler and cheaper to do it that way in 17hundreds, but I agree, that it's has had some problems with getting understandable results lately;
Not so much this time, though.

you'd think it would be cheaper but the thing is they already count every vote anyway "supposedly" but theres also the matter of zombies voting (being serious) machine error etc
