I just checked the website, and apparently, they've released a Valkyrie Server that has is free...so, is Ragnarok Online free? Or is this just a testing thing?

The strings are in the link. Some things from the main servers were removed and exp is a little less.

Up for good I don't know but I'd assume so.

There's still quite a lot of players but also a lot of bots too sadly. Valkyrie server has around ~300-400 average, peak time high hit ~800 once I think.

yes the game still has tons of players, not the valkyrie server though, I saw many *cough* servers with more people :S

I don't think so, Only The newly released Valkyrie Server is the Free one, the Main Server is still I think Pay-To-Play.

The difference between this and *cough* servers is that, one, you really experience Ragnarok instead of getting to level 255 within ten minutes and soloing all the MVPs. The original Ragnarok emphasized teamwork a whole lot.

And as such, you'd probably experience better WoEs, and better communities. Also, more grind = better equips as you reach appropriate levels. I remember getting to level 70 and I still have crap equipments, but this isn't the case on real servers. Also, merchant classes really sell useful stuff to anyone on the road! Like a random shop selling red pots in training zones and stuff.

Truth be told, the official servers have much more to offer than *cough* servers.

There's a such thing as low rates, even ones with identical rates.

And in my mind, they come out on top because their actually tended to often, and offer many npc services that don't hinder game play but improve the overall experiences. (Being able to choose your own Palette is just fun)

But these aren't to be discussed blah blah, harass harass harass.

Low rates my friend and im sorry but if i played the official i wouldnt have much fun their economy is too cheap id just end up being able to buy everything. 3x rates and the normal servers 1x rates wont make a big difference since with 3x rates i hit level 99 in 2 days? 2 x 3 = 6 days?

If you still have crap equipment at level 70 then your doing something wrong o and using red pots instead of meat is kinda ridiculous too

I agree with stranger anywayz since the communities i find to be much much better.
