I think if the fat people (like me) sit back and watch all the skinny people jump, it will have no effect. Does anyone want to know why? Ok it is simple, get 600 million people that weigh 90-150 pounds. Your doing the math here because I am lazy. Then get 600 million people that weigh 200-450 pounds, what would be more effective? My point is that if the people who thought this up were the genious's they claim to be they would have added in a tiny variable like the total mass needed to move the earth, and they would have realised that even with 600 million or even 32 billion people jumping at the same time all that would happen is maybe an earthquake if they were in the same place. Lets just say it is possible to move the earth by jumping(which it's not). The suns gravitational force beats our jumping force many times over, not only that but if it was possible to move the eart at all it would be moving it into the sun not away. I still think this whole idea was made by a ****** who one day just thought '' Hey, lets stop actually researching and trying to find real ways to stop global warming and have a jump day to move the earth away from the sun and risk absolute death if we succeed!''. As I said befor it is impossible so don't worry about sending hate mail to them unless it is about how flawwed their theory is, in which case I encourage you to by all means send wave after wave of hate mail.
Also to arcteryx's comment above, yes I know that now I just forgot to update my post. Which now seems stupid because you already pointed it out so I'll leave it as it is.
