Dreamcasts are plentiful as well as fairly inexpensive.
That'd be my recommendation.
Other than that, you can never go wrong with a SNES or N64.
EDIT: Oops, didn't see you wanted game suggestions. In terms of SNES, if you can find it, Final Fantasy III. I'm not sure how much it's running today, but it might be up there in price.
