Anyone else find the new filter annoying?
Not sure if there was a thread about it before but man I hate the filter. It's not like we're 10 years old here and can't take a few profane words every now and then. There should be an option to turn it for the user. =/

I don't like this filter.
If people can't handle a couple of cusswords here and there, they shouldn't be on a public forum in the first place. We do understand OnRPG wants to grow, but they need to keep in mind the overall happiness of the past/present community as well.

Well, although I don't swear much in normal speech, when I RP (in the Roleplaying board) sometimes a character, in order to be in character, does need to swear. This is a problem.
Also, I think censoring just emphasizes the swearing. Without the filter my eyes usually just passed over swear words, sometimes without even noticing. Now you can't help but notice.
And finally, like other people have said, most of us are old enough to take a little swearing imo

I tend to use the words a lot, I don't see a real problem with them (They are just words FFS [Is for fudge's sake filtered I wonder?]). They are some of the few words that can really express feeling when you read them and they are extremely versatile.

My issue with the filter is actually somewhat serious though. I'd appreciate it if at least we could have some sort of exception for the RP forum.

Well atleast the filter isn't as bad as Phantasy Star Universe's filter.
In PSU the censored words like; shoe, heal me, blade, Bill Gates, fork, SEGA and many other regular words.

In the Silkroad Beta, every question mark made it censor the whole sentence as swearing.
The result was hilarious and annoying.
