Hard to say. I'd imagine so. Maybe not though, because those fries you can buy at the store to cook in your oven will do the same thing.
If you leave a potato out, it will rot after a while (but it takes a long time)...but hmm. One really has to wonder about this. I know a bunch of guys who are chemistry geniuses, I'll ask them if I get the chance.

Naw it IS as bad as it seems. Are u guys forgetting the normal fries and how they were dead after like 4 weeks, but McDonalds fries like never broke down. That is LOADEDDEDED with preservatives along with the rest of their food. The whole point of the vid was show everyone how normal food only lasts as long as its supposed to, but McDonalds super processed, super unhealthy, super preserved, super anti-fresh food lasts for ages. How ur dumping all those preservatives and fat inside ur body.
America is notorious for having foods preserved out the ***. It rele isnt normal to go to the store and buy beef, and have it lasts without cooking it for weeks or months lol. Alot of frozen foods and frozen dinners are loaded with them to, just look at the sodium content. In countries like Germany they go to the store like everyday or few days and buy fresh food. But w/e.
