Danny is a huge sony fanboy... The 360 is cheap because it isn't doing good statement is BS the sales have just come through a the PS3 is 2nd to last place (just in front the PS2). PS3=180K 360=370k.
Even though i had a PS2 i chose the 360 mainly for its selection of games LBP is really the only exclusive that looks any good.

I'm sorry, but I have to refute this.
First of all, the PS3 is not a higher "quality" than the XBOX 360. Me and my friends have tested it out, if you get two TV's, the same game, and hook a PS3 to one and an XBOX 360 to another, they look EXACTLY the same.
With the new avatar update, the xbox also has a lot of new features. Including a "Mii" kinda system, party system, and a lot more.
You are also said you can play PS3 at school, which unless you're going to lug the huge thing around, you can't.
As for wireless battery life, my wireless controllers last about 1-2 weeks, depending on how busy I am. In my opinion, that's not like "shedding skin cells".
And lastly, the online. Sure, PSN is free, but it isn't as good as x-box live. Gold costs 50$ a year, which isn't that much, but with all the amazing games we can play with it (Halo 3, Gears 2, Left4Dead), it's a bargain. The only game that I have had fun with on the PS3 online was Resistance 2, which i'll admit is pretty intense.
Anyways, that's my rant.
And no, to the people who say I'm trying to start a flame war, I'm not starting a flame war. Just stating my side

You are already leaning towards the PS3. I think you will be happier if you went with that decision. What we say does not really equal to what you want. Even if you take the majority's decision (which is the 360 right now) you may not be completely satisfied, only because you were leaning towards a PS3. Besides, a lot of the good 360 titles come out on PC anyway, even if they say it won't lol.

PS3 WITHOUT A DOUBT. PS3 will have games coming in longer than xbox as well so in the long run it's better. Also the PS3 has a better RPG section and it has some mmo's in the near future going to come out. also ps3 controls are just more simple. also i don't know if it's true or not, but you can use your ps3 as a grill. =P

I'm just saying that it's usually more fun to play online with people that you know rather than ones you don't, for me at least. You're more inclined to talk to them and usually have more fun.
It's more like this, choosing between going to a party where a lot of your friends are going or going to a party where a few or none of your friends are going to. You're likely to have a good time at both, but you're probably going to have more fun with lots of friends.
This is my opinion, but yeah, base your decision on the games too.

If you want better games, more fun, better graphics.
Though at this moment there aren't too many playstation games =(
but there is an armada of awesomeness coming out very soon
but if you want cheap, constantly buggy and a possible RROD within one month of playing. Have fun =)

Didnt over heat, still works perfectly.
