Need more ram?

My gameplay lately has been terrible, I play games such as wc3 and recently Latale and I can play the game smoothly and perfectly for maybe 5 mins( for Latale and wc3 can take up to an hour or 2) then a terrible lag occurs and it feels like im running on dial up where everything is extremely slow. It definately isn't my graphic card or internet, but I have 1.9G of Ram and when I check task manager while running these games it says i'm using 1.3G of Ram Should I get more ram? I've tried defragging my comp and virus scanning and its all clean.

1.3GB seems a bit much to me. are you using vista?

anyways, yea get more ram. you can get +2GBs for very little money nowadays.

I might possibly be a heat problem. Sometimes cpu's/gpu's will throttle when they reach a certain temperature to prevent damage to the hardware. Usually this is built into laptops more than desktops though. Try cleaning out your case with some compressed air.

if its starts too lag, it either means (for the most wich have problems) you got adware/viruses, or youre just running too much background apps

since im running vista, with a shitload of background apps and other stuff, i have 1.61gb ram in use right now, so if you have xp and 1.3gb ram usage somethings not right and i would recommend to kill the apps

I'm using Vista, guess i'll take things out thanks.
