So after my brand new hard drive fried after an hour or two of use (lucky), I returned it in for a new one, and obviously had to reinstall my Windows XP SP2 again. While I was beginning the installation , I forgot that I wanted to remove the clip-on fan that I put in on a whim, not reading the manual earlier and finding out it actually disrupted the air more if it was actually there WITH a CPU Fan. So during the installation (the part where it was checking for something that escapes my memory), the only option on the bottom was "Restart = ENTER" so I thought I was lucky. Clicked it, it restarted to the OS menu, which allowed me to shut it down from there. I took out the fan, started the comp again, and started the OS again. Now, instead of the Windows Installation coming up, it stays at the black screen with the little flashing LED line on the top left; no text coming up. I figured it might take a little longer, but its been 10 minutes and the set up hasn't started and I'm still looking at a black screen. I'm absolutely sure I didn't dick anything up removing the little clip-on fan, so what went wrong when I restarted during Windows XP Installation and how can I fix it? Thanks for any feedback guys.
