    Default Question regarding P2P games

Is it feasible for companies to charge game time exactly by how many hours the gamers are in the game?

For example, you buy a 30days game card, which is 30x24= 720hours, and the time doesn't count down if you're not ingame.

As gamers of course I think its a good idea, but seems to me none of the companies are willing to do this. I see it as a way to attract more crowd.

So whats holding the companies back from using this method?

    Opinions:

    1. Company doesn't earn if servers are down for maintenance etc

Its all because companies will not make as much money if its down to hours.

I dont know any NA/EU games that use this subscription fee. I honestly dont mind the fee's anywayz they are soo damn cheap for 1 month....

Your right about the maintenance thing but theres also the fact that not every gamer is a hardcore player so they could have subscribed for one month of gameplay but easily get 3 months worth of an active account.

And tbh i dont think it will attract many. From what ive seen most people dont play p2p games simply cause they cant pay for it. Be it they dont have a credit card or dont have the money to spend.

China's WOW is charged per hour. I've never seen hourly fee charged instead of a monthly fee anywhere outside of Asia.

Hourly will not be 24 hours lets say .. 30 bucks for a 1 month sub and 30 bucks for 250 hours , so it'd be about the same for a casual gamer however It'd end up being cheaper for people who play ike 10 hours a day to go with monthly I think .
