You should play on Tarlach.
We have a guild up, but you might not be able to join yet.
It can't sustain more than 10 members at its current level, but we're working on it.

Awesome choice....wish I could play it, but it's US Only....
The game is not Item Mall dependant if you just play the game for the free features.
Like I played the game once just because there was music composing. It was the only thing I did in the whole game.

Would play, but the con about this game is that just like FFXI it's a time sucker. I'm short on that right now.

Now that's just not right. Its propaganda spread by cashshop haters. Honestly if you cant make $10 in like 13 weeks then you should probably not be paying for an ISP. Also there are things like prizerebel that you can do to get a rebirth. Nothing other than rebirths are "necessary", and even then rebirths aren't needed to enjoy the game. The game is more human skill based than skill/magic attacks based. Even with all lowest skills you'll be able to take on any dungeon (that is, if YOU are skilled enough). Its a great choice if you want a different style game than all these grinders. Hopefully in January Generation 4 will come out and that's when the game really starts getting interesting (adds a whole other continent, dungeons and later on new skills and races.)
