    I always have my 360 playing random music from the hardrive when im playin left4dead or halo 3

    That way seems tedious and stupid to me when I have my laptop sitting behind me.

    But yeah, I usually have the TV on mute and my music on behind me. The only games I play without music in the background is something I like to pay attention to (Resident Evil, Half Life series, etc). Games with a good story line that have badass cut scenes.

    nah it's pretty easy actually, and it sounds better (to me) cause it seems like the music is a part of the game since it's coming out the same source. It's sounds even better when i run the sound through my stereo equipment. I used to do it the same way you do though so i can understand where you're coming from.

    i have my PC next to my PS3 so if i really hate the music i can just play my own. im usually on skype so i dont really hear the music anyway.

    I have my PS2 hooked up to my stereo, so when I play football games, of which I've heard every line the announcers can say, I put on music instead.

    Haha, I didn't mean to sound like a dick there. My bad.

    I much prefer my PC's speakers. They shake the floor and break the windows. Lol.

    Nah it's cool, you got some nice speakers if they do all of that lol.
