Like for example: Knight of the old republic.
Do you usually use a walkthrough?

Reputation: 19I thought you were going to ask if we usually have an orgasm..
Maybe...
Reputation: 424I have never used a walkthrough, defeats the point of playing the game.
Reputation: 154I will peek at one for a console game only if I've been stuck at a part for a really long time, otherwise, nope. Haven't had that problem for an PC game I can think of.
Reputation: 16only if i am stuck at one part for a long time. if it takes me more than like 45mins-60mins then i look. dont like wasting time on one part when i could be enjoying the rest of the game
Reputation: 14Ehhh. Sometimes. Sometimes I tend to figure shit out by myself because I don't wanna ALT+TAB.
depends on how frustrated I get.
When my brother used to buy console games, he'd always buy the walkthrough/strategy guide with it.
Why?
It pretty much just takes your hand and tells you everything to do.
No thinking for yourself and no feeling of accomplishing any feats, or puzzle-thinking on your own.
Only when I'm stuck or want to have some fun with godmode.
Otherwise I solo it without the guide
Reputation: 35yup only if I need it
I usually use one for FF and Zelda
I could never beat a recent Zelda game without a walk through I would piss myself off.
No never, it's like watching a movie after you read up the whole story. I prefer being surprised, much more fun this way.
Oh wait, I just remember a game series that I always have a guide handy for some stuff. I don't use a map walk-through though. But for Pokemon, I like to have the type chart, and a more detailed encyclopedia of Pokemon info than the Pokedex (ie: move list, evolutions, locations including trade options, etc).
Also a detailed TM list.
As long as that I got that stuff handly for my pokemans, I'm good.

Reputation: 26Anyone who says "No" hasn't played Omikron: The Nomad Soul.
I only use a walk through if I find a game unbeatable otherwise.
That being said, I have used walk throughs on all of the Myst games, but the puzzles are only really there to lengthen game play and some of them(coughrivencough) go a little overboard with the difficulty.
if i really need it i will use one, otherwise i try to avoid them
Reputation: 22depends on the situation..the same as others here I think..
Reputation: 267;/ Never, and I almost got into a rather brutish game of fisticuffs with a nerdy Gamestop employee because he would not let me leave the store without the accompanying purchase of the Kingdom Hearts Prima Games Strategy Guide with the game.
>:/ I knocked over some shitty GTA: Vice City cardboard cut-out while I took my leave.
