I use the correct finger placement, but I sometimes type in simple things with one hand to keep my other on my mouse/whatever else happens to be in my hand.
Reputation: 43No. And I score higher than all of my classmates in speed typing tests, so I don't plan on changing.
My left hand is always on WASD,shift, spacebar and my right is usually in some random place.
I have all the keys remembered from where the spacebar is.
I use the f and j keys as placement, and by default my fingers rest at the asdf and jkl; locations, but I don't use the standard method of finger movement to type. I just know (by feel) where each key is in relation to the f and j keys, so from there I just move what I need to to reach.
F and J is where your two fingers are stuppose to be. I seem to use about 3 fingers of each hand and my thumbs for the space button some of the time....
Reputation: 123I think I do. Never actually thought about where my hands are going, I just feel the keys.
Reputation: 16i dont use it.. is there something wrong with that? haha

I should update this but all my effort went into writing this lousy excuse.
I type on my keyboard how it's most comfortable and fastest for me. I usually use my index, middle and ring finger to type letters and numbers and use the thumb to press spacebar. I use my left little finger to press shift and other keys that are left. Same goes for the right middle finger.
In short, I use the fingers for each key which is nearest to it.
And I also score more than my colleagues in speed writing tests who use the "right" method.
hey man stop taking weeds it affects your mind. please drink water instead of gasoline.
same as FabianN but as for me, i use the A and J keys to let my fingers automatically fall on the other keys. i'm not sure if use the correct finger on the other keys.. oh, wait, no, i don't use the correct fingers on the other keys cos i remembered i don't use my pinky that much. lol.
I use my middle and index finger to type, and that's about it.
