Default Is Guild Wars worth buying?

I'm thinking about buying all the expansions for Guild Wars tomorrow but first I'd like to know, is it worth it?
Nearly every free mmorpg bores the hell out of me and Guild Wars sounded like a nice pvp game.

Could someone give me the pros and cons of the game?
    Thanks.

If you have enough money to spare to the point where you can buy all of the expansions in one trip...then sure why not...its a GREAT game.

If you don't like it, you can always just throw it away(money seems to be no issue for you) and buy something else.

    Pro's

    Casual
    Fun (opinion but w/e)
    Decent graphics
Balanced so you can find a playstyle and enjoy it without being over or under powered.
Just about every playstyle is in the game so you'll be able to make a character you like
    storyline that's engaging
teamplay is stressed (which I like cooperation)
    Great PVP
    good replay value
Amazing title/achievement system to let those hard-core players stay hard-core and have something to show/work for.

    Cons

Community is over all nice, but theres the occaisonal douchebag
Learning curve to get into pvp is kinda steep if you are wanting organised GVG's.
Sometimes Choppy music/slight bugs. I think they are hardly noticable, but sometimes you will "teleport" back a few spaces because you lagged.
End-game farming is pretty build specific. AKA ursans/cryway. It's efficient but lame boring and hard to get anything done group wise anyway else.

It's definitely worth the money, because it's only one time fee, and you can always play while another game is in matenence or if you want a change of pace, w/e.

From personal experience i found it a great game with a a clan or mates but kinda got boring soloing with npcs.
Unsure if the game is still as populated as before and i haven't got eye of the north so cant tell ya about that.
It's probably just as good as the stand alone counterparts which kept me hooked for hours as I tried to make the best elementalist possible and I enjoyed owning in pvp with clan/mates

I'd buy it off amazon or direct2drive.com if I were you, direct2drive.com is having a sale on all of the Guild Wars games.

I don't think my mam would let me use her credit card>_>
I would rather just go down to Game and buy them, its only 5 minutes away.

yes, its worth your money, eotn is particularly fun, but u need one of the base chapters to get to it, any would do, tho i personally preferred prophecies and nightfall over factions. if i were you, i'd look for the trilogy, i know for a fact that in aus, getting the trilogy saves u heaps of money than getting the individual campaigns, i found nightfall and factions on their own standalone for approx 70$ + each, but the trilogy with all three was 100$ and it came with a free copy of eotn.
