Those are some pretty nice prices, as low as 8.83 a month, not bad.Originally Posted by That other place

bye bye Ryzom lol
aww i wish i played it when it was free
was it that good to make it p2p?
Good luck to ryzom for being p2p
Currently playing League of Legends. Summoner name : Don
Reputation: 267I don't think it was the price that caused Ryzom to shut down in the first place, I think it was the game. ;o From a consumer standpoint, seeing that Ryzom is a few bucks cheaper than other current MMO prices causes me to think that the game experience will be lower quality and I won't even want to subscribe in the first place. I don't think this train will keep chuggin' for too long. ;/
Reputation: 10Bye bye Ryzom!
Lol, cool game, too bad it rejected my router and only let me play for 3 minutes before having to close the game out. (Seriously, what kind of game hates on routers?)

and the game will die again...
Reputation: 38it's sad tho, ryzom it's a great game but from a marketing stand-point I doubt it can compete against monsters such like FFXI or WoW
it will have it's loyal playerbase but it won't be viable on a monetary basis
Reputation: 11Ryzom has the same problem as tabula rasa and other games. The game's setting/background doesn't appeal enough players, which leads to a major fail ;/
Hahhaha Ryzom p2p? Good luck with that, chaps.
Reputation: 28Honestly, it deserves it more than 60% today's p2p games.Hahhaha Ryzom p2p? Good luck with that, chaps.
First it's a sandbox game, then community is great, you can combine and create your skills, sci-fi setting, crafting, great progressing system.
I mean, 90% of players quit the game in the tutorial because it's a sandbox game - you dont have arrows here leading you to quest, and ? ! next to the NPC so you know where to go.
I think that makes it more challenging and better, but that's only me
Ryzom shut down due to legal problems not because of the player population. It is a niche game and was never expected to have massive population. By it going P2P the development team will have money to allow the game to grow and have more content.
P2P > F2P any day of the week you cheap bastards.
Reputation: 15That's pretty expensive... Dont think much people will play it, I didnt like it even when it was f2p.

I should update this but all my effort went into writing this lousy excuse.
Not a game I'd pay a monthly fee for. I'd buy it if it was a one-time fee.
Reputation: 57there gonna start over, then probably close again, then get back up again.
Reputation: 10It COULD be a good game if it were free....
Not worth paying for at all.
