Reputation: 424my professor explained this to me last week cuz i was confused about the whole thing.
being an illegal immigrant isnt a crime, its a public offense, like not wearing a seat belt while ur driving.
supposedly a public offense and crime are diffent but w/e
i dislike illegal immigrants (from mexico)
my opinion is biased in that illegal immigrants from other countries have to cross a large body of water/ride an airplane to get to the states, while mexicans only have to jump a fence :P
Reputation: 344Then you are not well informed. It's not like they live right behind the fence and jump right over it into a town as well. Both sides have a large body of wild land to cross. There are obviously wild dangerous animals and plants as well as the danger of being dehydrated especially in the desert areas. First off they have to live in the dump we call Mexico. They cross over for a reason and that is to help their family. They go through hard times leaving their family behind only to venture into the wild facing many dangers to end up in a land they know little about trying to make a living for their family, being highly selfless. That is how it is for most immigrants and for them to become legal means spending time and money they can't waste and paying taxes and fees for everything that they can't handle.

thats why they come here to sell drugs and shoot people. you cant tax drugs! hooray!
are you also by chance living in a state above the midline of the US. specifically speaking, in a white, upper-middle class neighborhood where the idea of illegal immigrants and gangs are things that can only be seen on tv and movies?

Reputation: 292Well if you already categorize a group like that then you are only helping in the increase of gang violence.
You treat someone like trash and they will most likely become it.
And I lived in the Valley of California most of my younger years. I saw gang wars and heavy crime but a lot of the kids who joins gangs are pushed into them by people with your attitude.
They feel like they don't belong anywhere else.
