New Microsoft?

Anyone tried the new Window Live messenger?
Is Microsoft trying to be the next big social network like facebook?

They have news feed at the bottom of their messenger. You can make display pictures/video using your webcam. I also notice that http://home.live.com/ has become a social website by Microsoft.

This is what I've notice so far. If there's more cool feature please do share.

Anyway, I think the new WLM is awesome.

Agree, the new WLM is great. They have finally built in some features i've been waiting for. (change pic size for contact list)

Hoho, I am tempted to try but these things take time for people to adapt though.
God knows when my bunch of non-tech savvy buddies ever care to upgrade and play this thing with me.

Sad for me too, no one in my contact list want to try the new WLM.

As long as they don't support aim in their windows live program, i will not be using it.
