DVD Speed
Ok, well, me and my gf want to watch a movie together over the phone. I have it on my computer, and she has it on dvd (rental). Everytime we do watch movies together though, for some odd reason, mine plays faster, or slower at times than hers. Is there any way I can sync it up do you know?

youve got to mostly just time it right....i wouldnt doubt if it did play faster on a pc since it doesnt have to load anything it just reads them off a disk....how about she makes an iso of the dvd on her pc and mounts it with daemon tools that might work

it's because movies have frame rate drops on computers if theres too much shit going on and the computer can't process that amount of video.
burn that shit on a dvd and watch it with her, only way to watch it synched up.
if she watches on her computer then she'll have frame drops at certain parts as well that you may not.

I think its the sound waves over the phone. Maybe you'd be better off syncing your movie with an instant messenger?
That, and DVD players need to load up a disc when you hit play. A computer can just play it instantly. Maybe have her press pause at a certain part, and you tell her when yours gets there?

yea that too the sound over the phone makes it sound like one of you are further ahead than the other ...but if youre off by like just a fraction dont mind it just let it slide

ive done similar to that...sometimes the person is on vacation or on a trip somewhere for a reason and you guys both have a copy of the movie so hey why not watch it through the phone...it snot as weird as i thought it would be

because then when the person talks itll interfere with the movie sound....on the phone you still get the other ear....btw they might have mobile to mobile...or its after the time when you get free minutes....and right now its weekend so thats another thing
