Well Absinthe sold anywhere des not cause hallucinations, the worm wood or whatever it is called (to tired to google it at the moment) can cause it. But the amount they put in any alcohol today is to little to cause it unless you drink more then enough to cause alcohol poisoning. But then again people do survive from alcohol poisoning all the time.

I've made my own Absinthe in the past, and I have to say that I am not impressed with it really. There is, however, a reason they have nicknamed it the green fairy.
Let me recount for you. I had all the ingredients to make absinthe, it was just a matter of getting the right alcohol to mix with. I mixed it all up, and it turned the clear liquor a strange greenish brown. Down it went.
30 minutes later, I began to feel minor effects but nothing major. I drank a little more, and a little more.
This brings us to about an hour and a half in. Sitting on my couch, the room began to twist and distort a bit like the onset or comedown of a mushroom trip. Having done that many times, I braced myself for what I was planning on a similar journey. The room was distorting, and I decided to walk around. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see a little glowing green ball. Every time I would try to look at it, it would escape from the corner of my eye (much like a "floater"). Over the next half hour, the room stopped twisting, and the green ball of light took up more and more of my vision. I couldn't manage to look straight at it still though.
After about 3 hours from my first drink, I was totally fine (minus a small drunk feeling.) It can't relate in any way to any other hallucinations I've ever had before, and they were mild enough for me to wonder if they had actually happened, or if it was a placebo effect. I drank it again the following Saturday and had similar effects, when I DOUBLED MY PREVIOUS DOSE.
I know it wasn't my particular mix up, because my wormwood is DAMN good on its own.
Lol oister thats friggin awesome. I'm actually gonna try that this weekend. 60 bucks for a bottle is just not proper ;__;.
hopefully my trippiness level will be a lot better than salvia. A bit more like shrooms would be perfect.

She was really young (in her 20's). I said to her "Hey, at least it wasn't Absolut you were drinking that night" and pointed to it. She was like "SHHHHHH! I'm not supposed to have that out for you guys to see" Hahaha.
(Absolut's mascot, at the time anyway, was that old dude with a beard. I dunno if it is now) She lol'd after class though.
Its all about the diet... the diet water that is.

I don't drink much... When I do I guess I'll drink a bit of anything, really, but I prefer Corona:

WITH LIME.
corona with lime is a must. sort of like a blue moon with an orange
I don't drink much, or at all really.
But occasionally I'll have some wine. The only good alcohol I've had.
