    Default RoM graphics error

The game does that whenever I start it up. My video card is a ATI Radeon 9200, and I assumed it'd be good enough for the game because the system reqs have a 128MB card as the minimum req. All of my drivers are updated, as is DirectX. Anyone know what the problem is?

RoM requires Shader v2.0 or higher. Unfortunately, the Radeon 9200 has Shader V1.1 only. Hence the graphical errors.

Is the Radeon 6000 higher than the 9200?

Why would a horrible little 128MB video card be put on req if a better one cant run it.

Sigh, I hate that I can play most P2P games but not the freaking free ones -.-

No idea on that sorry. But the bare minimum cards that have shader 2.0 are the Geforce FX series and Radeon 9500. Not sure on the other card manufacturers.

Hey chill dude. It's a min req. So It should need to be higher than that requirement to get better graphics. It's not really sure that the game will even runs properly since it is the minimun

Minimum means the lowest requirement to play the game, not the lowest they think will work.

Minimum is what is required to have the game be functional, the speediness is all that will be changed beyond this point.

The problem is that there are some cards that are 128mb that are Shader 2.0 which would work, so you should be cursing ATI for having better cards with older technology (These cards had higher memory and at the time had same technology as other cards)... But now, it is just a bit confusing due to the breaks of mb / shader technologies.

I also have the ATI Radeon 9000 series and I thought it was ridiculous that they required Shader 2.0. Just a prime example of lazy programming and a lack of options for those of us unable to afford the best of best.

To Explain how little I can afford... I have 512mb total ram and it is DDR1 not very high speed... I would probably buy another 512stick before I got a whole new video card to be honest...

Yeah, screw ATI. My parents bought me a factory made Sony Vaio when i was in Junior High (Or mightve been freshman year in high school), and the only thing in it really lacking to play any new games is the freaking video card. Seeing as I don't know much about the actual insides of a computer, I honestly have no idea if I can even replace the video card, since I've heard most namebrand computers have the cards integrated into their system or some crap. *sigh*

Personally. I just suggest you save up for something like this.

    http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/M...000_Lightning/

If you have a ATI 9200, then really you'd be better off saving up for an entirely new computer as opposed to buying a new graphics card, as that wouldn't last as long.
And if the cloud bursts, thunder in your ear.

You shout and no one seems to hear.
