If you want to go out on parties, make friends or if you want to sit in your room and enjoy playing games online is entirely up to you.
There is no "wrong" way to live your life. And no one should tell you anything else.
Personally I found some middle grounds. I go out around 3-4 days a week with friends and I do Karate 3 times a week. Whenever I find some free time I sit down and play PC. It's not like one cancels out the other.
